Collecting dues and payouts
Members are charged on a schedule and the money settles into your bank account. NextSet never holds your takings.
Setting it up
- Connect your payout account
You will be taken through the payment processor’s own onboarding — legal name, business details, bank account. It is their form, not ours, and NextSet never sees or stores your bank details.
- Create your plans
Unlimited adult, kids, two-a-week, drop-in — whatever you actually sell, at whatever price you actually charge. Plans are yours to name.
- Put members on plans
Assign each member the plan they are on. Someone on a family rate or a comped membership is set up that way rather than being left off the system.
- Members add a card
Each member gets a one-tap link to add their card. They enter it on the processor’s page — the card number never touches NextSet.
- It runs
Charges happen on schedule. You watch the exceptions, not the successes.
What it costs
NextSet takes 0.5% of dues collected. The payment processor takes its own card fee on top, the same way it would if you took the card yourself. Nothing is charged when nothing is collected.
Where the money goes
Directly to you. Your members' payments settle into your payout account on the processor's normal schedule. NextSet is never a stop on the way, which means your takings are not exposed to anything happening to us.
When a payment fails
| What happened | What you see | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Card expired | The member is flagged as needing a new card. | Send them the card link. One tap for them. |
| Insufficient funds | A failed charge on their record. | Retry it, or talk to them. Both are one action. |
| Member disputes a charge | The dispute appears against that payment. | Handle it in the processor’s dashboard. Your evidence is their attendance record. |
| Member is leaving | Nothing until you act. | Cancel their plan. Cancelling stops future charges and does not claw back paid ones. |
Other money
Tickets, tips, donations and merchandise use the same payout path. Where a donation is set up so that 100% reaches you, the processing fee is added on top of what the donor chose rather than taken out of it — the donor covers it, so a $50 donation is a $50 donation.
Refunds
Refund from your dashboard. The platform percentage on that payment comes back to you too — NextSet does not keep a fee on money you gave back.
Plan pricing is on Plans and what they include.
